Country Report Presentation

A country report is required per participant. Every participant will report this paper at a designated time during the training, as source of firsthand information on the status of environmental management and regulation in ones country related to the training course.

In this particular training, the participants will be required to prepare twenty-five copies of their country report on environmental management and regulation to be distributed as follows : 1 copy each for the participants, 2copies for LabFrontier Co., Ltd.

The report may contain the following information

1. General Description of Participants Country

  • Location, Area, Population and GDP (Gross Development Product)
  • The characteristics of climate and geography
  • The status of environmental industry

2. Government intervention for environmental management and control

  • Organizational structure and functions
  • Law and Regulations for harmful environmental contaminants
  • The status of environmental contamination by harmful chemicals including POPs
  • Programs and projects regarding monitoring, remediation, and research for harmful environmental contaminants, especially POPs
  • Problems and possible solutions

3. Report on the environmental management program of the participant‘s institution

  • Brief description of the participant‘s organization (Philosophy, vision, mission and objectives)
  • Organizational structure and functions
  • Programs/projects regarding monitoring, remediation, and research for harmful environmental contaminants, especially POPs
  • Problems and possible solutions

4. About the Participant

  • Present position and duties in the organization
  • Expectation from the course

For report presentation, the participants can use overhead projector, or LCD for PowerPoint presentation. The participants are required to bring prepared transparencies, and other materials for presentation.
