The
government of the Republic of
Korea, recognizing that the
human resources development
(HRD) is an essential part of
a nation's sustainable development
began an international technical
cooperation program in 1965
through which it has provided
developing countries which technical
assistance based on Korea's
development experience.
In implementing the program,
Korea has given priority to
helping the recipient countries
improve their infrastructure
for socio-economic and industrial
development on a long-term basis
rather than to satisfying their
immediate needs.
Technical training is regarded
as one of the most important
programs, for it contributes
to the building of human capabilities-a
critical element of successful
development. The training includes
lectures, practices, and study
visits to government institutions,
research institutes and private
businesses.
The training course on Environmental
Workshop for POPs is provided
by the Korean government as
a part of its international
cooperation program. The arrangements
for the course are undertaken
by LabFrontier Co., Ltd. under
the sponsorship of KOICA.
