| Allowances
& Expenses |
| The
Government of the Republic of
Korea bears the following allowances
and expenses through KOICA in
accordance with relevant laws
and regulations.
Daily
Subsistence Allowance
Participants receive a Daily
Subsistence Allowance(DSA) of
20,000 won per day for personal
expenses incurred during the
training course, extending from
arrival in Korea to departure.
The DSA provided to participants
is based on the cost of living
at the training site and is
meant to cover basic expenses.
If the training period exceeds
three months, the DSA will be
450,000 won per month(15,000
won per day).
Meals
KOICA or the training institute
will arrange or provide three
meals per day.
Allowance
for Sundry Expenses
KOICA provides an allowance
for sundry expenses incurred
between the times of entry into
and departure from Korea, i.e.
transportation fares and passenger
sevice charges.
The allowance per participant
will be 50,000 won for a training
course not exceeding four weeks,
or 100,000 won for a training
course exceeding four weeks.
Stop-over
Allowances
A stop-over allowance is provided
to a participant who has an
inevitble stop-over in a third
country due to the flight schedule
for which expenses are not paid
by the airline company.
The amounts shown in the table
below is the maximum that participants
will receive as a stop-over
allowance. KOICA will provide
a stop-over allowance according
to duration of stay when transiting
through a third country. This
allowance is limited to two
working days. Participants should
budget within the amount as
prescribed in the table below.

Expenses
KOICA will bear the following
expenses for participants:
An economy class round-trip
airfare between Seoul and the
international airport designated
by KOICA
Lodging charge from arrival
to departure from Korea excluding
personal bills for phone, laundry,
video, minibar, food, etc
Medical insurance
Other expenses concerning
training
Note : KOICA will not bear
taxes (such as airport or departure
tax) incurred when participants
depart from their country.
